“I love reading through lengthy, boring PDFs when completing training” — said no one ever.
That was the starting challenge for this Articulate Storyline project: transforming a static, text-heavy PDF into an engaging, interactive, and story-driven learning experience.
Working hand-in-hand with subject matter experts, we identified the core goal—reducing workplace injuries. Using action mapping and analyzing actual injury reports, we uncovered real-life narratives that formed the foundation for compelling scenarios. Learners are placed in decision-making situations with realistic consequences, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Accessibility was prioritized from the start. We integrated closed captions, audio descriptions, manual audio play options for screen reader users, and downloadable transcripts—all designed to ensure an inclusive, seamless learning experience without sacrificing engagement.
To bring authenticity and relatability, colleagues volunteered as actors in the course videos. Learners responded positively, noting how seeing familiar faces made the training feel more relevant and enjoyable.
The results? Overwhelmingly positive feedback. Learners appreciated the course’s concise format, meaningful interactions, and realistic practice opportunities. It wasn’t just training—it was an experience that resonated and led to actionable takeaways.
This project is a strong example of how we’re redefining content delivery—turning dull documents into dynamic learning that drives real-world impact.
